Restorative Yoga Classes

What is Restorative yoga?

It’s not the same as Yin yoga.

Restorative yoga supports the body in relaxing positions and unlike Yin, there’s no stretch, strain or stress on the muscles or joints. The body is wonderfully supported with blankets, cushions, pillows, bolsters and eye pillows.

During Restorative yoga, the parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated allowing your body to slow down, rest reset and send blood flow to the internal organs.

In the second hour, you will be guided through a Yoga Nidra practice, often translated as “Yogic sleep”. This practice takes relaxation to another level as you’re systematically guided to relax through the many layers of physical, mental, emotional tension.
